How does the "from templates" option differ from the "custom made"?
Here is an example of film made by using templates. These movies can look super sleek – they’re cheaper to produce as well – but they’re not as flexible in their design. Your story can get across dashingly well, and be very engaging. However, if you want more control, and have a more precise vision that you want to match – you are better off going for the custom option.
Both types of movies will look great – it’s more a matter of how unique you want your movie to be, and how much control you would like to have over the final result.
Can I expect any additional costs during the production?
Everthing that is required for producing your movie is included in the above cost. Also, TWO revisions in each step of the production process is included – for free. However – if you want additional revisions beyond those, we expect that you pay for those additional expenses. We encourage you to give precise, and complete feedback in every round of revisions, to get the most out of them – and also to speed up the delivery of your movie.
If you change your mind, and want to go back to a previous step in the production process – for instance changing the script, once we’ve already finished the recording and mixing of the voice artist – that is of course possible, however again, the additional expenses of the redesign will have to be paid for.
Also any additional requests, such as making different versions in more languages will cost extra, or if you require the movie to be finished extremely quickly etc, will be billed accordingly. Additional languages will cost 250$ extra per 30 seconds. For other special requests, please contact us.
How long should my video be?
Some research has gone into determining the optimal length of a video. To summarize this study, shorter than 2 minutes – to get the most bang for your buck. While a video longer than two minutes will still provide a benefit for you, in charming your viewers, some of them tend to drop off after 2 minutes. Because of this, sticking to a video shorter than that will be the most cost effective option in most cases.
I bought a 60 second video, but I now realize it will have to be longer...?
It is quite common to underestimate the lenght of video that will be required. Our current policy on how to handle that is to simply bill a proportionally bigger price – for example:
You bought 60 seconds of video, but the final cut landed on 66 seconds. That’s a 10% longer video, hence you will be billed 10% extra.
We do however encourage that you try to accurately judge how long of a video you will require – and we will help you with judging that already in the initial stages of the production.
Are there any limitations on my use of the video?
Once the project has run true, you retain all the rights to the visual material. In our standard agreement, you can also use the audio on the internet, but if you wish to sell the movie as a product, by printing CDs or digitally, or broadcast it via TV or radio (especially as paid commercial) we will in most cases need to negotiate specific terms unique to this particular movie. Unfortunately, the audio is limited in this way, but should you want to use your video in this fashion, let us know, and we’ll arrange it.
